2024 - 2025 SEASON
Peridance Contemporary Dance Company seeks to fulfill Company Dancer and trainee contracts for the 2024-2025 season.
Contracts are available for dancers of all identities with strong technical and artistic abilities.
AUDITION DETAILS
IMPORTANT DATES:
The application will close at 5pm on Monday, July 15th. Video submission is required. Selected dancers will be invited to audition in-person on Sunday, July 28th at Peridance Center. Dancers will be assigned an hour slot (9:30-10:30am, 10:45-11:45am, 12-1pm), then the first round of callbacks will take place from 2-5pm later that same day. You will be notified about this potential in-person audition by Monday, July 22nd. Additional Callbacks will be held on Monday, July 29th from 4-7pm.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring a physical copy of your headshot and resume to the audition. Class beforehand will not be provided, so please be warmed and ready to learn repertoire at the start of your audition time.
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING:
Dancers are requested to have strong contemporary dance technique and improvisational skills, along with versatility, musicality, and stage presence. Experience with contemporary partnering is also a plus. Dancers must be based in NYC at the start of employment.
There is no fee to audition.
POSITION DETAILS
PCDC seeks to fulfill Company Dancer contracts as well as additional Trainee contracts. Both Company Dancer and Trainee contracts will be from August 26, 2024 through August 31, 2025. Rehearsals will begin August 26th in preparation for fall national touring, a winter production at Peridance's KnJ Theater December 8 - 10, 2022, and the company’s Season performances in May 2025. Both Company Dancers and Trainees rehearse approximately 10-20 hours/week. Company Dancers are paid $20/hour for rehearsals and both dancers and trainees receive a $50-100 stipend per performance depending on scale of the event. Both Company Members and Trainees receive additional pay for workshops and outreach events, have access to free space at Peridance when available, as well as receive free daily ballet classes and other discounted classes. When The Company tours, both Company Members and Trainees receive per diem. The Company is not a union company.
