PCDC’s Trainee Program offers the unique opportunity for dancers to continue their dance education within a company setting. Learning from and being mentored by both Igal Perry and PCDC company members, selected dancers who are offered a trainee position receive a contract for one company season with the possibility to renew for a maximum of 4 seasons (2 years total).
The trainee model offers three
main areas of growth:
Trainees attend the daily company class each morning with company members, as well as gain additional open class opportunities.
Trainees receive monthly individualized mentorship from one of the PCDC company members to discuss how to navigate the field and realize career aspirations.
Trainees are cast in 1-3 choreographic processes each season to learn how to work within a professional environment. These processes also include the possibility to perform with the company in the season for a small honorarium.
