New York City’s acclaimed Peridance Contemporary Dance Company (PCDC) is proud to present its Spring Season 2022 on March 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th for a total of six performances.
The season will showcase eight world premieres from eight choreographers that are both rising and prevalent voices in the industry. PCDC is proud to have Mike Tyus, Ido Tadmor, Roya Carreras, Junichi Fukuda, Elisabetta Minutoli, and company members Colin Heininger and Jerard Palazo as this season’s choreographers alongside Artistic Director Igal Perry. The company will also showcase an encore performance of Oceans by Peridance’s Artistic Director Igal Perry with original music by Israeli composer Amit Weiner.
PCDC’s Spring Season 2022 is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council. In addition, Perry’s creation, Oceans, was supported by New Music USA. (Funding for New Music USA is made possible through annual program support and/or endowment gifts from Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust, New York State Council on the Arts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Howard Gilman Foundation, Helen F. Whitaker Fund, and The Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Inc.)
Special thanks to Hope and David Rothschild for their generous support of Jerard Palazo's piece "So Close".
Costumes for Jerard's piece "So Close" are sponsored by Stephen Reed of Ballet Arts NYC.
The KnJ Theater at Peridance abides by all NYC Covid-19 protocols for indoor entertainment specified as the Key to NYC. All attendees for PCDC's Fall Season 2021 will be required to show proof of vaccination upon arrival at the theater.
